When rainy weather rolls in, Philipp reckons the Bloc No Limit climbing hall is the perfect indoor activity for adventure-seekers to test their mettle. Whether climbing, balancing or swinging, the climbing hall offers exciting challenges for all ages. And if that's not enough, Philipp swears by a game of round of laser tag to get the adrenalin pumping.

The Best Vietnamese in Leipzig! 

When it comes to dining out, Philipp's top pick is Pholosophy. For him, this is a place that captures the essence of authentic Vietnamese cuisine served with a side of heartfelt hospitality. Philipp recommends you take a seat in the cosy outdoor area during summer and soak up the lively street scene. And, when it comes to the menu, his personal favourites include the flavoursome Pho soup, summer rolls, and the house-made lemonade. 

Unwind as the locals do at Rabet Park

For an unforgettable day in Leipzig, Philipp recommends exploring the city's beautiful parks and lists his favourite as Rabet Park. Running parallel to the lively “Eisenbahnstraße”, this park is a favourite with locals who chill out on the lawns or admire the daring tricks of nearby skaters. All in all, Philipp reckons the relaxed atmosphere and idyllic setting make Rabet Park the perfect place to escape Leipzig's hustle and bustle on any extended stay in the city.

A Sense of Community on “Eisenbahnstraße” Street

For cafes, studios, shops, and a vibrant atmosphere head to Eisenbahnstraße Street. Phillipp adores the lively art and cultural scene as well as the vibrant mix of people and the sense of community that makes this street truly unique. He recommends treating yourself to a slice of cake at café Kulturapotheke, a venue that used to dispense medicine instead of homemade sweets and snacks. The café still retains much of the old pharmacy's interior decor, adding a touch of history to its charm.

All Night Long... Dance to Electronic Music

And the adventure doesn't end with the sunset as Leipzig is renowned for its vibrant nightlife and diverse cultural scene. At night, hit up The Distillery, the oldest techno club in East Germany and a hot spot for music enthusiasts and partygoers. Here, Phillip says you can dance to the electronic beats of the city's top DJs and experience an unforgettable night.
