AUSTRALIA: Travel isn’t always for pleasure… sometimes it’s about business, but it never has to be boring!  Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Norwest  is situated in Great Western Sydney around 35km north-west of Sydney’s CBD. Whilst primarily residential, Norwest is home to Australia’s largest ice-skating rink, a drive-through post office, Raging Waters Sydney and 172-hectare business park that currently houses around 800 businesses.

At Adina we believe that there’s no need to forfeit your lifestyle when travelling. Enjoy a home-cooked meal, relish the convenience of being able to do laundry in your apartment, work up a sweat at the in-house fitness centre or do laps in the pool. And, if your schedule is jam-packed with back to backs, we’ve got some great options to help you blend work and play.

    The Lakes District

Norwest Lake, located just over one kilometre from Adina Norwest and is the top spot that locals come to enjoy the outdoors, and take advantage of the many walking trails, cycleways and picnic spots.

Along the shoreline, you’ll find several bustling cafes and restaurants, including the family-owned Il Lago. Head Chef, Steven Yeomans, has headed up the kitchens of some of Sydney’s leading ‘hatted’ restaurants and has created a mouth-watering menu full of authentic Italian dishes with high end flair.

Insider Tip: The delicious ribbons of black tagliolini literally dripping with braised octopus, carrot and orange puree is a must-try, followed by the fried apple and cinnamon ravioli for dessert or the superb cheese selection sourced from Italy. And, of course, all of this is complemented by your tranquil lakeside surrounds.

    Tea for Two

If you’re after a lighter meal, head to Twenty-two Café Bar and Grill downstairs at Adina Norwest. The three bikes mounted on the wall above the counter are a nod to the lifestyle precinct and the hotel team will easily give you pointers on what to do and see.

Here, the menu is as interesting as the décor, with plates such as champagne-poached chicken and French toast with poached pear, chai anglaise and maple syrup to tempt your taste buds. The coffee is great if you’re chasing a mid-afternoon pick me up.

The Hills District also has a brand-new, up-market venue that's just a 450m stroll from the hotel.  Mullanes features a cafe, an upmarket Italian restaurant and bar, private dining rooms and a craft distillery, And, if that's not enough there's also a boutique public bar and VIP Lounge to boot.

We Never Promised You a Rose Garden!

Across town, you’ll find the Roxborough Park Rose Garden, where there are more than 100 varieties of roses arranged beautifully over 8000 square metres. The mix of colours, fragrances and intricate garden designs make it a great spot for a stroll and your next Instagram post!

    Ice, Ice Baby

For something a bit different during your stay, head to the Sydney Ice Arena – it’s Australia’s largest. As well as standard ice-skating, the arena offers figure skating lessons, disco sessions and the chance to watch Australia’s top ice-hockey players in action.  It’s also the perfect place to cool down during the summer months as well as an excellent option for a rainy day, particularly if you’ve got the family with you.

Add in several private golf clubs, the Castle Hill Country Club, Valentine Sports Park, Castle Hill Showground and Blacktown International Sportspark and there’s always something to amuse in Sydney’s Nor’West and with us at Adina.
